Account Manager

Cinch is a fast growing start-up within Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. We set out to build a modern, customer-focused, digital platform to help professionals and small businesses buy and manage insurance smarter and faster – all which saves them time and money.

As an Account Manager, you’ll provide exceptional service to existing Cinch customers, and prospective customers, and drive growth through voice, chat, and email. We’re looking for problem solvers to be advocates for our customers and the Cinch brand. Account Managers will also directly contribute to improving the Cinch experience by providing ongoing Voice of Customer and user experience feedback.

You will be part of a small team that is focused on exceeding customer expectations and helping build the Cinch business.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as an advocate for customers and prospects through a variety of channels, including voice, chat, and email.
  • Advise customers on insurance products and coverages based on their individual needs.
  • Grow the Cinch book of business.
  • Become an expert in the small commercial insurance space, including but not limited to, professional liability and medical malpractice products.
  • Drive customer experience improvements by continuously surfacing Voice of Customer feedback and operational enhancements across the Cinch team.
  • Help increase customer retention by tracking trends affecting their experience.
  • Make outbound communications to obtain policy information and pursue renewal opportunities.

Who you are:

  • Strong attention to detail – little mistakes drive you nuts.

  • Property and Casualty License is preferred, but not required. If not already licensed, you will be required to become a Licensed Insurance Agent upon joining (costs will be covered by Cinch).

Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst within our team, you will be involved in anything and everything data related. You will be an integral member of the Agile team:

  • Supporting the data platform development
  • Analyzing internal and third party data sources
  • Working with architecture to design strategic integration solutions
  • Ensuring the quality of solutions implemented
  • Through data analysis, you will support the business team to identify trends, derive insights from various data sources, and help the team design better products and create superior customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years analytical experience, with Financial Services experience preferred.
  • Be able to work collaboratively within an Agile team.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel required. Must be comfortable working with large volumes of data.
  • Requires excellent problem-solving & analytical skills. The ability to combine creative use of insight and data with attention to detail, while balancing these details with the larger business objectives.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and RDB architecture.
  • Experience with data visualizations software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.

Director, Partnership Development

We’re all about driving digital innovation in the Small Commercial Insurance space. We’re a small start-up unit within a larger enterprise and looking to grow our team. If you constantly strive for excellence and want to work with a collaborative and energetic team – then Cinch is for you.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify, evaluate and negotiate new partnership opportunities for direct insurance product distribution. We are quickly expanding our book of business and your efforts to secure partnerships with non-traditional insurance channels will directly help accelerate our growth trajectory.

Internal collaboration with Senior Management, Technology, Underwriting, Marketing and Customer Experience will be vital on a daily basis.

This position requires independent thinking, as this role does not have any directly reports at this time. However we expect the development team to expand over time commensurate with the growth of the book of business.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities with companies, membership organizations and affinity groups across a variety of targeted industries and sectors
  • Develop and implement a strategic approach to assessing and prioritizing development opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and underwriting to identify target customer segments and related business solutions
  • Manage the end to end process of partnership development, by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and setting up performance tracking capabilities
  • Coordinate outside relationships on an ongoing basis, including identifying, evaluating, and implementing partner analytics, including profitability and growth measures
  • Represent Cinch in meetings with outside partners as needed
  • Travel to potential clients and business opportunities (25-50%)

Manager of Digital Marketing

As Manager of Digital Marketing, you’ll play a key role in helping strategize and manage marketing programs that grow awareness of the Cinch brand and drive sales. Specific duties encompass a range of both tactical and strategic responsibilities, spanning across multiple channels. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you’ll work with members across the Cinch Team to strategize, plan, execute and analyze various marketing initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Create a budget(s) and manage marketing initiatives to meet or exceed performance and spend goals.
  • Act as the day-to-day lead for SEM, providing strategic recommendations, and oversee external agency partner to manage spend, performance and optimization of creative and campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to grow display/retargeting program, facilitate testing and optimization strategy, and produce analysis showing the impact of program.
  • Working with our content team, develop and manage a Paid Social program that supports and enhances our content and social initiatives.
  • Keep up on the evolving marketing ecosystem, identify new technologies and initiatives to test as well as the roll out and maintenance of successful initiatives.
  • Play a key role in helping track data and analyze the success of marketing tests and initiatives including P&L analysis, financial feasibility, and revenue/profit potential. Manage reporting of key success metrics.

Who you are:

  • 7+ years of strong experience in developing marketing strategy and executing campaigns across a wide array of channels (SEM, email, display, retargeting, etc.), driving engagement, lead generation and conversion while developing analytical insights to inform optimization.
  • Deep understanding of performance tracking including tag management, conversion/event tagging, ad tagging, etc.
  • As comfortable in excel as you are tweaking headline copy or marking up email creative.
  • Strong attention to detail – little mistakes drive you nuts.
  • Meticulous and analytical with the ability to deliver data-driven results, analysis, and application of findings.
  • Comfortable working with external agencies as well as building proficiency in-house.
